3rd Annual India Film Festival of Alberta (IFFA) to Fort McMurray on July 29, 2017

Edmonton Movie Club (EMC) in association with Fort McMurray Gujarati Cultural Society (FMGCS) is proud to bring the 3rd Annual India Film Festival of Alberta (IFFA) to Fort McMurray on July 29, 2017.

This years festival features super hit Gujarati Movie "Wrongside Raju". This film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Gujarati at the 64th National Film Awards. The second film of the day will be "Newton", a dark comedy telling the story of a rookie government clerk sent to oversee elections in a town controlled by the Naxalite terrorist group in Chattisgarh, India. The movie is spoken in Hindi, though both movies will have English subtitles. Newton received a warm response at its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. It also won the CICAE Award for best film in the Forum Section.

This year's IFFA is graced by presence of award winning Gujarati Director Abishek Jain (who is also the producer of (wrongside Raju). Members will get a lifetime opportunity to take photos with the director and take part in Q&A session.
